Overview: History
Corporate United was founded by Gregg Mylett in 1997 with a modest vision: to create the nation’s largest office products buying group. Gregg facilitated the first sourcing initiative in 1998, establishing a leveraged agreement that delivered tremendous value to each of the original six participants.
While Gregg continued with his mission of adding more members to the group, the founding companies pressed him to deliver the same value on other categories. These parallel paths have been followed to this day, and as a result Corporate United currently provides 25+ leveraged agreements to our more than 175 member companies.
With more than a decade having passed since that original project, Corporate United has evolved to meet the changing needs of our growing membership. Corporate United facilitates an unrivaled network of spend management professionals, and through our leading category and supplier management services, provides our members with speed to market and resource flexibility unique to our offering.
Representing more than $600 billion in combined revenue, and more than 2 million employees, Corporate United stands alone as the world’s largest virtual organization and continues to provide our members with all of the advantages this leverage brings.
