“Functional Alignment between Procurement and Other Groups”
Presented by: David Clevenger, Vice President, Corporate United

“Procurement as a Sales Organization”
Presented by: Steve Hengstebeck, C.P.M., Director of Procurement, Express, LLC
The role of procurement is constantly evolving – today, many indirect spend procurement departments are experiencing a 20/80 split of their time between indirect sourcing (20%) and selling within the organization (80%).
With more than 12 years of experience in retail procurement at organizations including Toys “R” Us, Inc., Abercrombie & Fitch and Express, LLC., Steve Hengstebeck has been successful in incorporating the increasingly important sales skill set into the day-to-day function of indirect procurement. Join us to learn how this proactive approach has created more value for Express’s spend management efforts.
Interactive Group Exercise on Functional Alignment
Led by: David Clevenger
This interactive session will allow attendees to share best practices and real life experiences they have encountered in working with other departments in their organization to overcome challenges associated with functional alignment.
